Rules & Regulations 

At Modern Convent School, discipline, respect, and responsibility are the guiding principles  of student life. The school community—students, parents, and staff—work together to  maintain a safe and nurturing environment. The broad rules and regulations followed in  school are: 

General Discipline and Conduct 

1. Students must be polite, courteous, and respectful towards teachers, staff, peers,  and visitors. 

2. Bullying, abusive language, rowdy behavior, violence, cyberbullying, or any act  harmful to others is strictly prohibited. 

3. Seniors are expected to show care for juniors, while juniors must respect their  seniors. 

4. Any act of indiscipline may lead to warning cards, suspension, or even expulsion. Punctuality and Attendance 

1. Students must reach school on time and attend all classes regularly. 2. Early departure or short leave during school hours requires written permission  from the Principal/Supervisor. 

3. Students are expected to be regular and punctual; repeated late arrival or frequent  absence will be addressed by the school 

Uniform and Appearance 

1. Students are expected to wear the prescribed school uniform neatly and with pride on all  working days and school events. 

2. A tidy appearance and appropriate hairstyle help maintain discipline and unity in the  school community, so we expect parents to support their ward in following the dress code. 

School Property and Cleanliness 

1. Students must respect school property and report any accidental damage  immediately. 

2. Writing on walls, damaging furniture, or littering the campus is strictly forbidden. 3. Everyone is responsible for keeping the classrooms and school surroundings clean  and green. 

Prohibited Items 

1. Mobile phones, smart watches, expensive gadgets, jewellery, or large  sums of money must not be brought to school. 

2. Any harmful objects, crackers, intoxicants, gambling material, or  

inappropriate items are banned. 

3. Confiscated items are not returned.

Academics and Assessments 

1. Students are encouraged to come well-prepared for their classes and assessments. 2. Honesty and fairness are valued; students are guided to avoid any unfair means during  examinations. 

3. In case of incomplete or careless academic work, supportive corrective measures may be  taken to help the student improve. 

Safety and Security 

1. Parents and guardians must carry their Parent ID card for entry into the  school premises or PTMs. 

2. Students will not be handed over to unauthorized persons without prior  approval. 

Parent Responsibilities 

1. Parents should regularly check the school diary, ensure punctuality, neat  uniform, and hygiene of their ward. 

2. PTMs are compulsory and must be attended by parents in formal attire  along with the student in uniform. 

3. Parents are expected to communicate any change in contact details to the  school at the earliest. 

4. Birthday celebrations are restricted to distribution of toffees only.

Online Classes (If Applicable) 

1. Students must join on time, in school uniform, and in a quiet study space. 2. Respectful behavior, attentiveness, and proper use of microphone and  camera are expected. 

3. Sharing of login credentials is strictly prohibited. 

Core ethos 

Self-discipline, sincerity in academics, empathy towards peers, and respect for the  school community are essential for every student’s growth. The school reserves the right to  update these rules whenever necessary to uphold a safe and positive learning environment.
