Class (VI-VIII)

The school’s assessment system for grades VI to VIII is designed to be comprehensive, combining continuous internal evaluations with formal examinations. 

The system includes:

  1. Periodic Tests: Two periodic tests are held per term, and the best score out of the two is considered for the final score. This approach encourages consistent effort throughout the term and reduces the pressure of a single high-stakes test.

  2. Mid-Term and Annual Examinations: These are a key part of the assessment structure. They help in evaluating a student's grasp of a larger portion of the curriculum and their ability to perform under formal examination conditions.

  3. Internal Assessments: These evaluations cover a variety of areas. They include:

  1. Student Attendance: Attendance is considered a factor in the overall evaluation. This highlights the importance of regular school attendance for academic success.

  2. Subject Enrichment Activities: These are part of the assessment. They provide a practical application of concepts, helping to deepen a student's understanding beyond theoretical knowledge.

  3. Project-Based Activities: These are included to evaluate practical skills. They encourage students to develop research skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

  4. Portfolio: Students' portfolios are considered in the assessment. This helps in showcasing a student's progress and achievements over time, giving them a sense of ownership of their learning journey.

  5. Multiple Assessments: A variety of assessment methods are used to get a complete picture of student progress. This ensures that a student's performance is not judged on a single metric, providing a more holistic view of their capabilities.
