School Rules & Regulations

1. Every student is expected to carry his/her school diary and identity card to school everyday.
2. A student should affix his / her photograph and write the required information, duly signed by his/her parents, in the space provided for in the diary.
3. Students who come to school on their own should reach the school ten minutes before school timings.
4. Changing of classrooms between periods should be done in an orderly manner and silently. Students should not unnecessarily leave their class at the end of every period.
5. Students should bring their own water bottles especially during summer months.
6. Students should be always neatly dressed. The school uniform should be worn on all working days and for all school functions. Use of hair gel and wearing of low waist trousers is not allowed. Students not found to be in proper uniform will be sent home.
7. All boys (except Sikhs) must keep their hair short. Girls must tie their hair neatly with a white hair band.
8. No books (other than text books or library books), magazines or CDs etc should be brought to school. If they are brought, they will be confiscated.
9. Lending or borrowing of money or other articles is not allowed.
10. Students who go home escorted by parents or guardians etc. should never leave before the escort arrives. In case of delay, they should report to the school reception.
11. Students are not allowed to use the school telephone without the permission of the receptionist. They will not be called to answer phone calls during class hours.
12. Student Council members and scholars will wear their respective badges daily.
13. Students using the school bus will maintain discipline in the bus.
14. Students are expected to respect school property. No student should damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls or in any way damage things belonging to others. Any school property damaged even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher or to the Principal.
15. They should not spoil or pluck flowers.
16. Students should be invariably polite wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct.
17. All students are expected to greet their school teachers when they meet them whether they actually teach them or not.
18. Students are not allowed to bring any kind of object that can cause injury to others.
19. Bullying, use of abusive and foul language, rowdy or violent behavior in any form are punishable offences.
20. They are expected to help in maintaining clean and green surrounding. The student should not litter the school premises with wrappers, papers or polythene bags.
21. Students are advised to keep their class room, school buildings and campus as clean as possible and throw leftovers into the dustbins.
22. The school is not responsible for goods lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles (like expensive watches or fountain pens) to school.
23. Modern Convent School provides education from Nursery to Class XII. Therefore, it is expected that the juniors are treated with love and affection by the seniors while the juniors show all respect to their seniors.
24. Under no condition is a student permitted to bring a mobile telephone to the school. If confiscated, it will not be returned.
25. Students found indulging in aggressive or violent behavior, will not be allowed to travel by school bus. They will be picked and dropped to school by their parents.
26. Canteen facility is only available during break time. Students are not allowed to go to the canteen at any other time without permission.
27. Students indulging in any form of violent or destructive activities will face disciplinary action as decided by the school authorities.
28. Students using unfair means during examination will face disciplinary action.
29. A student found co-operating or indulging in any act of violence committed by other students which harms any student physically or mentally would also face disciplinary action including expulsion.
30. Students should follow all instructions and directions given by school authorities and not do anything to disturb the principles and norms of school discipline.
31. School rules can be changed without prior notice or reason.
32. No attendance would be given to a student during period of suspension.
33. The school reserves the right to suspend or to take strict disciplinary action against a student whose diligence or progress in studies is constantly unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students.
